 Friday Harbor & Anacortes

    by Anne Kuo Lukito

Color brioche knitting looks more challenging than it appears, but don’t let it intimidate or fool you. You’ll be surprised at how easy it actually is and get fantastic results to boot! No matter which cowl you choose to make, both are good introductory projects into brioche knitting and are wonderful additions to your accessories wardrobe, or that of a loved one.

Each cowl only uses less than one skein of each color, which makes them ideal for stash-busting. Anacortes (left) uses a basic 2-color brioche knitting technique, while Friday Harbor (right) uses the syncopated version of that. Both versions are worked in the round in a looser gauge and are fairly easy — really!
