Mera

In my obsession with versatile wear garments, I designed Mera, a shrug or bolero that can be worn in several different ways due to the reversible cable edging around the garment and cuffs. Furthermore, the reversible cable has a different motif on each side!

Mera comes in a wide range of sizes (from XS to 3X) and is worked top-down in a raglan construction. Then, stitches are picked up for the edging and cuffs.

Currently, Mera is only available for purchase at your local yarn store or via PDF download from Bijou Basin Ranch.

Mera will be available on Crafty Diversions and a wider wholesale distribution after June 2011.

Sizes / Finished Measurements

XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X); fits busts 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 52, 54). Sample garment is worked in a size S.

Bijou Spun “Bijou Bliss” (50% yak, 50% cormo, 2oz./150yds), 3 (3,4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins, Color: Brown
US 6 (4mm) 32” or longer circular needles
Cable needles
Darning needle
Waste yarn
Stitch markers

Gauge

17.5 sts and 26 rows = 4” (10cm) in St. st.
